Celebrate Safely & Responsibly
- Mandatory Green Crackers: Only NEERI/PESO-certified “Green Crackers” with valid QR codes are legally permitted for manufacture, transport, and sale.
- Complete Chemical Ban: Total prohibition of toxic chemicals, specifically Barium salts, Lead, Mercury, Arsenic, Antimony, and Lithium.
- No Joined Crackers (Laris): Long-chain connected firecrackers are banned due to heavy smoke pollution and excessive solid waste.
- Ban on E-Commerce: Delivery of fireworks through e-commerce websites is illegal; purchase only from authorised local vendors.
- Strict Time Windows: Fireworks can only be burst during specific time windows set by authorities, typically 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on festival nights.
- Licensed Physical Sales Only: Sales are strictly restricted to licensed sellers operating at government-approved physical market sites. Any unauthorised stock is subject to immediate seizure by the police.

Manufacturers
Registered factories that produce fireworks using legal, low-emission formulas certified by government bodies (PESO and CSIR-NEERI)
Sellers
Licensed traders authorised to sell fireworks strictly from government-approved physical market stalls.
Consumers
Responsible individuals and adults. Children are only permitted to handle age-appropriate fireworks (like sparklers) under strict adult supervision.
Authorities
Local police and administrative officers who inspect shop licenses, verify QR codes, and enforce safety and timing rules.

How to Store Fireworks Safely
- Keep unopened boxes in a cool, dry, dark area inside cardboard or wooden containers.
- Keep boxes far away from direct sunlight, gas cylinders, electrical panels, and open flames.
- Store them out of reach of young children and domestic animals.
